The nominations for the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) have ignited fierce campaigning among artists competing for leading positions as the main event approaches in just a few weeks.
While certain individuals have hired PR teams to advocate for their cause, others are opting for a more personal method, actively pursuing support on social media and various platforms.
KiDi is effectively promoting himself with his personal campaign on social media. In a post on X, the artist famous for popular tracks like ‘Touch It’, ‘Mon Bebe’, ‘Spiritual’, and ‘Enjoyment’ claimed that his song ‘Likor’ faces no rivals in the nominated categories.
“No song should beat Lomo Lomo in ANY category! But I need you to vote, my loves,” he wrote.
‘Lomo Lomo’, which features Black Sherif, was nominated in the following categories: Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste(s), Best Afrobeats Song, Collaboration of the Year, and the coveted Telecel Most Popular Song of the Year.
The 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards is slated for May 10, 2025, at the Grand Arena.
Stonebwoy, King Promise, Black Sherif, Team Eternity Ghana, Kweku Smoke, King Paluta and Joe Mettle are vying for the topmost of Artiste of the Year award.
