Rapper King Paluta confessed to accepting funds from the New Patriotic Party candidate for the 2024 December elections, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

His acknowledgment comes after a backlash he faced due to his recent remarks on Twitter, where he implied that influencers are compensated to endorse specific artists.

In the mentioned Twitter post, King Paluta conveyed his disappointment that a fan who once backed him for Artiste of the Year (AOTY) had abruptly altered their position.

His tweet suggested that certain Twitter influencers were financially motivated to endorse specific artists rather than others.

“I’ve seen one guy who was supporting me heavily. Even last week… Everytime ‘Paluta for AOTY.’ Yesterday, make I go see aa, he say I no dey deserve the award again 😊,” the rapper posted, punctuating his message with a sarcastic laugh.

He further hinted at possible industry manipulation, adding: “Every Twitter influencer on the payroll already?? Lol. Ghana Music, wake up! (in Wendy Shay’s voice).”
