The President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Mr. Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, has urged Angel 102.9FM to alter the titles of its daily news segments, ‘Orgasm News’ and ‘3some News’.
These shows are aired at lunchtime and in the evening, respectively.
According to Zionfelix.net, Mr. Dwumfour voiced his worries at a press conference in Accra, mentioning that the titles of the news programs are not virtuous and do not comply with the ethical guidelines established by the Union.
The GJA, advocating for journalistic integrity since 1949, continues to uphold its position resolutely.
“The names do not align with the professionalism and ethical standards we uphold. They are neither suitable for the nature of the programs nor respectful to the audience,” Mr. Dwumfour asserted.
Currently, the management of Angel 102.9FM has yet to address the issues brought up by the GJA.
‘Orgasm News’ and ‘3some News’ have served as the cornerstone news programs of Angel 102.9FM since it began approximately five years ago.
The GJA’s request for a name alteration seeks to maintain the integrity and ethical standards of journalism within the nation.
