Actress Gloria Sarfo has disclosed that the pressure from friends and especially family members for her to get married is stressing her emotionally.
Gloria who is also a TV Presenter on Angel TV is begging all who have been asking her to get married to slow down, because she is not happy about the unsolicited question.
The Efiewura star, says the pressure on her to get married is tearing her apart and has gone public asking, especially society, to bear with her as at the right time, she would find herself her own man to walk down the aisle with.
Gloria argues marriage is an endless journey and so she wants to get ready mentally, physically, spiritually, before settling down. The talented actress who has starred in both Twi and English Movies said it gets embarrassing when occasionally people question when she is going to get married.
According to her, the pressure gets even worse, when she attends family meetings and gatherings, family members keep piling up the pressure.
She said, she finds herself in a peculiar situation because her younger sister is already married and coupled with the fact that she has a big body, anytime she attends some of these family gatherings, she is treated as though she is pass marriage.
Gloria, who doubles as a television presenter said society, religion and others, have made it so difficult for women who get to certain age bracket and are not married to feel incomplete.
She said today’s marriage is not like that of old and so one needs to psych herself, before entering because it comes with a lot of cost, demands and preparedness.
“Me personally, the one after me is married, so when it gets to the gatherings and family meetings and all that, chalie, the bashing is too much everybody”.
“Especially, when you are fortunate and have good big body like me….. eei you are growing ooo, you are growing, it is emotionally stressful. The society, the pressure is too much, the pressure is too much on me”, she decried.
Gloria was part of a panel that discussed the topic ‘30andunmarried’ on Ghone television ‘Late Afternoon Show’ hosted by Berla Mundi last Friday.
