Ghana’s Ace-playwright Uncle Ebo Whyte strongly opposes the notion that side chicks are not the cause of misunderstandings in marriages.
He stated in Showbiz360 that a chick would be introduced in marriage at the last point that is when the couples start facing problems and misunderstandings between themselves. the side chick can be the reason why marriages are troubled but it is not necessarily that they are the cause of the troubles in marriages.
“I wouldn’t agree that they are struggling because of that. I think that is there because the marriages already were in trouble. Quite often, we blame the side chicks. But a lot of time, the side chick came in only when the marriage itself was limping. It is very rare that you find a side chick on the scene when the marriage is strong and doing well. Quite often, the marriage is not doing that well’’
