THERE IS NO FREEZE ON EMPLOYMENT IN PUBLIC SECTOR – Finance Minister States

Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson recently clarified that the government is not freezing new hires in the public sector.

In an interview with Channel One TV on March 12, he addressed and dismissed rumors suggesting the government had stopped hiring across various sectors.

This clarification comes at a time when there are widespread concerns about job availability in the public sector.

Many people have been questioning if the government has put any restrictions on hiring new employees.

“There is no freeze on employment,” he stated emphatically, reassuring the public that recruitment would continue based on the country’s economic needs.

Dr. Ato Forson’s statement aims to reassure job seekers and those already working in the public sector who have been uncertain about the government’s hiring policies.

He emphasized that the government is committed to creating more jobs and improving working conditions, with a particular focus on opportunities for young people.

This announcement is expected to ease concerns and provide some relief to those looking for employment and those worried about the future of public sector jobs.
