Nigel Gaisie, the leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel, has said that the persecution of Christians and the church as a whole by president Akufo Addo’s government is to blame for the current economic crisis.
The majority of Ghanaians have used a variety of tactics to vent their rage at the president and the country’s dominant NPP, including social media rants, protests, strikes, and other actions.
It appears that Prophet Nigel Gaisie has a distinct viewpoint regarding the current difficulties in Ghana. He claimed that the government was subjected to the wrath of God as a result of the attack waged against the churches.
He used the imprisonment of Bishop Isaac Owusu Bempah last year for encouraging certain worshippers to attack Nana Agradaa, a former fetish priestess who is now an evangelist, as an illustration.
“It is the attack on the church that has brought hardships. They had no business attacking Bishop Owusu-Bempah and I saw it in the spirit. One of the things that have caused the colossal failure of this government, nothing can bring them back and take it from me as a spiritual person.
“I am speaking as a prophet. This government is finished, no machinations, I am telling you and no amount of military will they use …They needed not to attack Rev. Owusu-Bempah we are on different sides but he is still a senior man of God, the oil of God on him is genuine. You can’t deny that”he said while speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM’s “The Kingdom” show which aired on Sunday, October 30, 2022.
