The person who allegedly stole the scented candles at the birthday party of renowned Ghanaian broadcast journalist and television presenter, Nana Aba Anamoah has reached out to her on social media to apologize for stealing.
As reported earlier, Nana Aba Anamoah threw a lavish birthday party at an undisclosed location where she was joined by a host of Ghanaian celebrities to celebrate her new age on June 19.
Hours after the blissful event, she lamented bitterly over how her scented candles were stolen by an unidentified person and she took to Twitter to call out the person but did not reveal the identity, however in a new development to the story, information gathered reveals Nana Aba Anamoah has obtained a CCTV footage that captured the moment the person who stole the scented candles committed the act.
The mother of one took to her social media page once again and revealed plans to share the video with her followers so as to expose the perpetrator and shame him but she may have a second thought about that after the said ‘thief’ slid into her DM to beg for her forgiveness after confessing his crime.
In the private conversation the suspect had with Nana Aba Anamoah, the suspect revealed that he is a student of a tertiary institution and he begged Nana Aba Anamoah not to leak the CCTV footage else he will become a subject of mockery and humiliation.
According to him, he thought the scented candles were souvenirs because he saw others take them and he admitted that he did wrong by taking something that did not belong to him even after attending the event without an invite and he promised to return the stolen items as soon as possible.
