American Actor and Comedian of Ghanaian descent, Michael Blankson has bitterly lamented over the economic pressures in Ghana and has vented his frustrations in a recent Twitter tweet.
Michael Blankson who has lived in Ghana for some time, stated that items are much more costly in Ghana than in the United States.
He got to this conclusion after attempting to purchase a set of furniture in Accra and finding the rates quoted to be exorbitant.
Commenting, Micahel said;
“C’mon Ghana why are things so damn expensive? I just tried to buy furniture and appliances and they are over twice the price of what they cost me in the U.S.”
He wrote; “I’m building a private school in my village that every kid will get a scholarship to at my expense but anyone one of ya are welcome to sponsor a kid each year. I’ll let ya know in a few days how you can help.”
