Arsenal talismanic midfielder and Ghana International, Thomas Teye Partey has been instooled as the ‘Development Chief’ of his hometown, Manya Krobo in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
His chieftancy title, the “Mahefalor” was conferred on him by Nene Sakite II, Chief of Krobo Traditional area, after the necessary rites were performed.
“Mahefalor” in the Krobo terrain refers to a “Defender of the Manya Krobo Traditional area.
He was subsequently unveil to the people in a parade across the principal streets of Manya Krobo who cheered and heap praises on the football star.
He is a very instrumental figure not only in his club Arsenal but also in the Ghana national team, the Black Star.
His goal contribution against Nigeria was what helped booked the Black Stars a ticket in Qatar ahead of this year’s edition of the World Cup tournament
Injuries has however affected his playing time as he couldn’t feature in the last few matches for his Club Arsenal in the English Premier League and also miss out on the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar on June 1, 2022.
