Prophet Kofi Oduro, a Ghanaian religious figure, criticized the current trend of decorating bodies and showcasing them at funerals as absurd.
During a sermon, Oduro stated that any family involved in such foolish behaviour must be mentally ill.
He was talking about the trend in Ghanaian funerals where deceased individuals are adorned in attire resembling their occupation during their lifetime.
For instance, in case of the death of a food vendor, their body can be placed behind their food products and showcased in that environment at their funeral.
In the past, c*rpses were presented in coffins depicting their jobs, but now they are shown uncovered without coffins.
