TIKTOK STAR PELLER KIDNAPPED DURING LIVESTREAM, RESCUED HOURS LATER
Nigerian content creator abducted during live broadcast; police successfully rescue him in overnight operation.

Popular TikTok sensation Habeeb Okikiola, known professionally as Peller, was kidnapped during a live stream on Wednesday night before being rescued by Nigerian police in an overnight operation, according to multiple reports.
The content creator was reportedly abducted by unidentified men while returning from a restaurant purchase. A viral video captured the terrifying moment when armed individuals confronted Peller during his livestream, ordered him out of his vehicle, and ultimately took him captive amid audible distress.
Fellow TikToker Jidex Klothing confirmed the incident, stating: “He went to buy food, then on his way back home, those people told him to stop and he stopped. Luckily, he was even online.”
The kidnapping sparked immediate concern across social media platforms, with fans and fellow creators sharing the viral footage and calling for authorities to intervene.
In a positive development on Thursday morning, Peller’s close associate Sandra Benede announced in a live video that police had successfully located and rescued the content creator.
“They have seen him. DPO has seen him. They never give details but they have seen him,” Benede stated, referring to the Divisional Police Officer overseeing the case.
The swift resolution comes amid growing concerns about the safety of social media influencers and public figures in Nigeria. Authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the kidnapping motive or details of the rescue operation.
Peller, who has gained significant popularity for his entertaining content on TikTok, represents the growing class of digital creators whose public visibility sometimes makes them targets for criminal activities.
