Ghanaian Pastor Bernard ElBernard expressed his unique opinions on tithing during a chat with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM.
As reported by MyNewsgh. com, he stressed that he does not enforce any rules about tithing, focusing on spreading the gospel rather than raising money.
ElBernard made it clear that although those who have faith in the spiritual advantages of tithing are encouraged to donate, it is not obligatory.
“Tithing holds little significance in my ministry’s teachings,” he stated, highlighting a more relaxed approach to financial contributions from his congregation.
He stated that individuals in his church should be able to engage willingly rather than out of duty.
“If you feel led to give, that’s wonderful. But if not, there’s no pressure,” he explained.
When Fiifi Praat asked for further clarification on the significance of tithing, ElBernard stood his ground, stating that his position had not wavered.
He doesn’t adhere to a specific theoretical framework for tithing, stating that all funds collected are used for church missions and development projects.
