TODAY MARKS THE DEADLINE FOR KEN OFORI ATTA TO MEET OSP
The Office of the Special Prosecutor has given former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta till June 2 to appear before it.
The Office of the Special Prosecutor claims that if he doesn’t show up, he will be reclassified as a wanted individual.
According to a statement released on March 17, 2025, the OSP will issue an Interpol Red Alert Notice against him and start extradition procedures in any jurisdiction where he may be located if it determines that he is a fugitive from justice.
The OSP formally informed Mr. Ofori-Atta in January 2025 that he was a suspect in five different instances and requested that he make an in-person appearance on February 11, 2025.
The attorneys for Mr. Ofori-Atta told the OSP that he was out of the country for medical reasons and offered to act as his representative while he was away.
The OSP denied the indefinite absence claim, demanding a specific return date by February 10, 2025, and threatened legal action if the claim was not met.
According to sources, Ken Ofori-Atta, who has indicated that he is fighting for his health outside of Ghana, has decided to meet the OSP digitally because he is unable to attend in person.
Sources close to him claim that his attorneys have written to the OSP regarding his health issues and the necessity of certain medical procedures.

- GRA Tax P-Fund Management:Handling and disbursement of funds from the Tax P-Fund Account of the GRA.
