Hon. Dzifa Abla Gomashie, Ghana’s Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture has been hit with a piece of sad news as he mourns the death of her father Mr. Gomashie.
Mr Gomashie reportedly passed away at the age of 106.
Dzifa Abla Gomashie on Facebook shared the news with a touching post and a photo of her late dad.
The minister on Facebook wrote, “ Stanza 1
BEGONE, unbelief; my Saviour is near,
And for my relief will surely appear:
By prayer let me wrestle, and He will perform;
With Christ in the vessel,
I smile at the storm.
Stanza 2
Though dark be my way, since He is my Guide,
’Tis mine to obey, ’tis His to provide;
Though cisterns be broken and creatures all fail,
The word He hath spoken shall surely prevail.
Her post on Facebook continued through all five stanzas.
Dzifa Abla Gomashie news has since drawn heartfelt condolences from friends, associates in government and the creative arts industry, and many Ghanaians who have followed her over the years.
