Veteran Kumawood actor Agya Koo has shared a harrowing story of how an unknown woman rescued him from a near-fatal encounter with the infamous occultist and alleged serial killer, Dr. Yogi Ram Beckley.
Speaking about his humble beginnings as a shoemaker, Agya Koo recalled a day when a wealthy man summoned him to a luxurious house for his services.
“As a young cobbler, I was roaming in search of work when a man called me into a beautiful house to fix his shoes,” he narrated.
However, just as he was about to enter, a woman urgently called him from behind, pleading for him to repair her footwear first.
“I wanted to ignore her because I had already been called, but she insisted, saying she was rushing to church. So I decided to help her first,” he explained.
To his shock, the woman then sternly warned him not to enter the house. Though confused, her intense demeanor convinced him to heed her warning.
“She gave me money even though I hadn’t fixed anything—her shoes weren’t even broken. That’s when I realized something was strange,” Agya Koo said.
Days later, news broke that the house belonged to Dr. Yogi Ram Beckley, a notorious ritualist accused of kidnapping and sacrificing children. The man had been arrested, confirming the woman’s warning had saved Agya Koo’s life.
“I still wonder who that woman was… an angel, perhaps?” he mused. “But I thank God I listened to her.”
