Ghanaian actress, Beverly Afaglo is displeased with the fact that Ghanaian filmmakers are not casting ‘mature’ actors in their film ventures.
In a post on Instagram, she stated that currently 80% of the ‘old faces’ are not receiving roles in movies.
“How many of the old faces do you producers and directors cast anyway? 80% ain’t working. What is going on? Shoutout to all the producers holding us down. The industry needs you. Keep going,” the caption reads.
In her post, Beverly also notes that she has only filmed two movies in the current year. As a result, she urged movie producers to keep her in mind when casting for their movies.
“I think I am getting bored. I have done only two productions this whole year: ‘Yaa Basabasa’ on YouTube and one movie produced by Steve Ekeso. Where are the producers and directors? Forgotten about me? I’m a versatile actor oo. I can do it all. Or you say you want new faces? Or you can’t pay me? Try me,” she wrote.
