TWO GHANAIANS AND A WHITE FOREIGNER ALLEGEDLY SWINDLE FISH SELLER WITH FAKE DOLLARS AFTER BUYING ALL HER STOCK
A local fish seller has shared how she was allegedly defrauded by two Ghanaian men and a foreign national who used fake US dollars to purchase all her fish.
According to the woman, the incident happened after the trio approached her stall and insisted on buying her entire stock at once.
She said the buyers appeared convincing and paid her with what she did not believe were genuine dollar notes.
It was only after they had left and had gone to a forex bureau to change the dollars into cedis that she learned that the money was fake.
By then, all her fish had already been taken, leaving her at a huge loss.
The incident has sparked concern among traders, with many calling for greater caution when accepting foreign currency, especially from unfamiliar buyers.
Authorities have been urged to investigate the matter and help prevent similar incidents in the future.
