He revealed that the purchase was in fulfillment of his promise to the Kantanka Group of Companies that he would be buying three of their Made in Ghana vehicles.
“When I met car maker Kwadwo Safo today, I told him that I am expecting to take delivery of three of his vehicles that I have placed an order for…,” the Vice President announced on his Facebook wall on May 24, 2016.
The CEO of the Kantanka Automobile Ltd was grateful that the Vice President had expressed confidence in the made-in-Ghana cars.
He announced that the company now has three types of vehicles available on the market – Kantanka Onantefour, Omama and Min-SUV. The Onantefour cost GHC 89,000 while the Omana goes for GHC 75,000 and the Mini-SUV goes for 65,000.
Kwadwo Safo Jnr CEO of Kantanka group of companies also confirmed this on Instagram. He posted a picture handing over the keys to the Vice President with this caption: “Vice president of Ghana Paa kwesi Amissah Arthur received the kantanka Onantefo suv’s he ordered”.
