Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who is the Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications, has let everyone know that Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is in good health. She is currently in the United Kingdom for a short medical rest.
During an interview on Channel One TV on Tuesday, April 8, Kwakye Ofosu told the public that the Vice President is doing well. He mentioned she would get back to her official duties soon.
This matches what Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Foreign Affairs Minister, said earlier. He also denied any rumors about the Vice President’s health, ensuring she is fine and just resting as doctors advised.
Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang made history as Ghana’s first female Vice President after being elected in 2024. Recently, she missed some public events, which made people talk on social media.
Nonetheless, government officials are consistently reassuring everyone that there is no reason to be concerned about her health.
“She is currently in good health and taking a short rest as advised by her doctors and, in short order, she should be back to her duties,” he said.
“She is in the United Kingdom as I speak,” he added.
