VIGIL NIGHT TO BE HELD FOR LATE MAWULI SEMEVO AT NATIONAL THEATRE

The National Theatre of Ghana will hold a special event to pay tribute to the life and legacy of Mawuli Yao Semevo, recognizing his significant contribution to the performing arts.

Titled A Night to Remember Mawuli Yao Semevo, the event will take place on Thursday, March 27, at 6:30 pm at the main auditorium of the National Theatre.

Mawuli Semevo died on Thursday, February 20, at Ridge Hospital after suffering injuries from a fire incident.

Known for his exceptional acting skills, both on stage and in films, Semevo featured in several productions, including Harvest at 17A Stab in the DarkEscape of LoveLike Cotton Twines, and The Good Old Days: The Love of AA.

The tribute night will unite important personalities from Ghana’s arts and culture sector to consider Semevo’s influence and honor his significant role in theatre and performance.

The occasion will feature performances, tributes, and storytelling sessions, celebrating a man whose commitment influenced the nation’s performing arts scene.
