The National Theatre of Ghana will hold a special event to pay tribute to the life and legacy of Mawuli Yao Semevo, recognizing his significant contribution to the performing arts.
Titled A Night to Remember Mawuli Yao Semevo, the event will take place on Thursday, March 27, at 6:30 pm at the main auditorium of the National Theatre.
Mawuli Semevo died on Thursday, February 20, at Ridge Hospital after suffering injuries from a fire incident.
Known for his exceptional acting skills, both on stage and in films, Semevo featured in several productions, including Harvest at 17, A Stab in the Dark, Escape of Love, Like Cotton Twines, and The Good Old Days: The Love of AA.
The occasion will feature performances, tributes, and storytelling sessions, celebrating a man whose commitment influenced the nation’s performing arts scene.
