President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on Ghanaians to refrain from voting for John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the imminent December elections, cautioning that this choice would undo Ghana’s advancements.
He claimed that Mahama and the NDC provide no new concepts or creative strategies to address Ghana’s existing problems.
Addressing chiefs and elders in the Western North Region, President Akufo-Addo emphasized Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the ruling party’s presidential candidate, as a beacon of renewed optimism and development for Ghana.
He characterized Dr. Bawumia as an innovative leader who can drive modernization and economic growth, in contrast to what he depicted as a lack of progress during former NDC governments.
President Akufo-Addo also mentioned the downfall of Kumasi Brewery during Mahama’s tenure, questioning the NDC’s proposal of establishing a 24-hour economy.
He remarked, “You want to implement a 24-hour economy, but the one you inherited, you couldn’t manage. Let us not make the mistake of going backward. Let us support Bawumia to lead Ghana to new heights.”
