GN Bank and a previous presidential candidate, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, have urged the public to oust the ruling NPP party for causing the collapse of banks and leaving many people unemployed.
During an impassioned speech in a recent interview on Onua TV, he called on Ghanaians to make the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government responsible for what he labels as a politically driven choice that harmed his financial institution, leading to extensive job losses and a decline in investor trust.
Dr. Nduom stated that the shutdown of GN Bank resulted in more than 300 branches in Ghana being closed and many employees losing their jobs.
The bank, vital for promoting financial inclusion in neglected regions, was suddenly closed due to claims of liquidity issues. Dr. Nduom asserts that these crises were caused by the government’s inability to meet its financial commitments to the bank.
Dr. Nduom urged citizens to consider these actions as they get ready to vote in the forthcoming elections on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
