Actor, Too Much of Junka Town fame is not pleased with how modern vendors are packaging Waakye.
Unquestionably, waakye is the most well-known and patronized delicacy, loved by people from all walks of life.
Too Much has criticized those attempting to modernize the way it is packaged and offered to elites in order to maintain the cult status it enjoys in Ghanaians’ eating habits.
The actor warned Reggie Rockstone, who began selling Waakye in jars, in a video posted on Twitter, saying that the meal tastes fantastic when it’s sold in an unhygienic setting.
He also said the traditional way of serving the meal in leaves with its customary accompaniment like wele, gari and macaroni should be maintained and not the variation some people have introduced.
