Several Kumawood film celebrities have revealed their motivations for supporting president elect John Mahama in the recent elections.
Big Akwess, Christiana Awuni, and Okomfo Kolege stated that their drive to oppose the Akufo-Addo government stemmed from unmet commitments to develop lasting solutions to the challenges confronting the film industry.
They unveiled these truths during their appearance on Daybreak Hitz on Friday, December 13, 2024.
“People think we came out to support NDC because of selfish gains but it is not so. We did this for Ghana” she told Doreen Avio.
Dressed in attire featuring National Democratic Congress (NDC) designs, actress Christiana Awuni expressed that she was there to commemorate John Mahama’s success, a statement that was echoed by Big Akwess.
Christiana Awuni clarified that the Creative Arts Industry encompasses more than merely the entertainment sector and that she has lent her voice to promote improvement.
She stated that they launched a campaign aimed at securing a better government for Ghana and the youth within the creative arts sector to alleviate the existing hardships.
