Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku-Mantey has urged Ghanaians to vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming December 7, 2024 general elections.
He stated that the NPP government has recognized the different problems facing the country and the economy, hence they require extra time to address these issues.
Okraku-Mantey, speaking at the NPP’s manifesto launch in Takoradi, stated that the manifesto consists of solutions for issues recognized by the government during their seven years in power.
He said, “For eight years we have seen the ups and the downs. We know where the blacks are, we know where to fix. Continuity is very important. At a time like this, we have experienced lawyers, and all other forms of labour as our president, this is the first time we are going to get an economist. The whole world is fighting the economy and facing economic challenges.
“So, we are lucky that at a time the world is going through economic challenges, our candidate is an economist. ”
The minister, who also served as a judge on the popular music reality show Mentor, made headlines when he disclosed that his role on the show is currently posing challenges for him.
He responded to Nene Narh, a past contestant on Mentor who accused the minister of turning him away during auditions for the show.
