WE’RE READY TO COMPETE FOR THE SANITATION CONTRACT THROUGH THE COMPETITIVE BIDDING PROCESS — Zoomlion

Zoomlion Ghana Limited says it is prepared to participate in any competitive bidding for the sanitation contract after its contract with YEA expired.

According to a statement from Zoolion, they are in favour of the president’s request for competitive bidding for the contract, stating that their past performance puts them in a strong position to deliver when they participate in the tender process.

They took advantage of the occasion to applaud the president’s demands for transparency and an examination of their contract with the Youth Employment Agency, which had expired.

Zoomlion praised the president’s stance on the necessity of raising the pay of frontline sanitation workers and stated that they are amenable to any adjustments that are put forth.

However, they took advantage of the chance to make it clear that the government did not stop their contract; rather, it was extended until September 2024 after they won it in a competitive bidding process in 2019.
