Dancehall singer, Stonebwoy is angry about allegations that his recent certificate from GIMPA was either given to him or purchased, instead of being obtained through his hard work.
During a conversation with GTV’s Kafui Dey, Stonebwoy responded to the accusations by saying that only people with a “stupid mindset” would come up with such claims.
“I want to address these naysayers because sometimes their noise drowns out the truth. There are cameras in the exam halls, which shows how difficult it is to cheat. You have to study; you can’t beat the system,” he said.
He highlighted the strict procedures at GIMPA, pointing out the cameras in exam rooms and stating that it is not possible to circumvent the institution’s protocols.
“Ahwenepa nkasa [‘quality beads’ don’t make much noise], but when we stay silent for too long, it allows foolishness to prevail. Claiming GIMPA gifted me the certificate, what poverty-stricken mentality is that? What kind of failure mentality is that?” he asked.
Stonebwoy also condemned those who are spreading these accusations, stating that their negativity devalues his success.
“I had to attend evening classes because the morning option didn’t fit my schedule. It’s not easy, there are even cameras in the exam hall, let nobody lie to anyone,” he stated.
He justified his academic pursuits by stating that his timetable required him to take evening classes.
