Popular Ghanaian YouTuber, Wode Maya has sparked a huge debate on social media following a post he made that pertains to illegal mining in Ghana.
Concerned and responsible Ghanaians are still dealing with the menace of illegal mining in Ghana better known as Galamsey, others are still exploiting struggling young men and women to engage in illegal mining endangering their lives and those in the communities where it is being carried out due to the impact it is having in their water bodies and health.
The Government is leading the charge to combat illegal mining in Ghana, however, Wode Maya seems unimpressed by the efforts of the authorities to clamp down on perpetrators of galamsey.
Taking to his X account, Wode May was curious to know the actual people who are masterminding this illegal activity in Ghana.
He wrote;

About a week ago, Otumfuo Osei Tutu Ii, the Asantehene, destooled the Gyaasihene, Akyeamehene, and Baamuhene of Sabronum, stripping them of their titles and responsibilities.
The decisive action was taken during the Asanteman Council meeting on August 26, 2024, at the Manhyia Palace.
The destoolment directly results from the trio’s involvement in illegal mining, commonly known as ‘galamsey‘, a practice that has plagued the region and drawn widespread condemnation.
