Ghanaian media personality and journalist, Nana Aba Anamoah has vehemently decried the prevalent fraudulent activities bedevilling social media apps, Facebook and Snapchat.
In a recent post she made on her Facebook page, Nana Aba Anamoah exclaimed how her name has been used multiple times on by fraudsters to defraud innocent people on Facebook yet, handlers of the app don’t act when he makes a report or complaint to them.
She compared Facebook to Twitter pointing to the fact that it is not easy to dupe people on Twitter, now X.
“This is a harmless question for all you Facebook and Snapchat fanatics.
Why do fraudsters scam people effortlessly on Facebook? The kind of things people fall for here will NOT fly on X (twitter).
Sadly, platforms such as Meta and Snapchat are not doing enough.
No matter how many times you report these accounts, you’re told the fraudsters ‘haven’t breached our policies’. Yet, these fraudsters are using my name and that of others to dupe innocent people of their hard earned cash.
Shame!”
