Reggae and Dancehall musician, Ras Kuuku has raised concerns about why certain Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and Managing Directors (MDs) of State Enterprises receive large monthly salaries.
He was addressing the matter of the GH¢70,000 monthly payment to the former Managing Director of the State Insurance Company (SIC) that was trending on social media.
The prolific singer maintained that he’s perplexed and cannot comprehend why President Mahama, who appointed these CEOs and MDs, receives a lower monthly salary.
“Seriously, if you read or hear some of the monthly salaries these State CEOs and MDs receive, it’s quite huge but I don’t really know how much the President receives,” he stated as MyNewsGh.com monitored.
“Even if the President receives 25K it’s nowhere close or compared to what these CEOs and MDs get because we are talking about some people who are taking 90K or more every month.
“But these CEOs and MDs are appointed by the President so how come that they take more monthly salary than the one who gave them their position and I’m baffled,” he queried in an interview with Amansan Krakye.
