WHY IT TOOK ME TWO YEARS TO RECORD ‘MO NE YO’ – Diana Hamilton [Video]

Revered Ghanaian Gospel song, Diana Hamilton, has explained why it took two years to record her well-known song “Mo Ne Yo.”

Without a doubt, practically all of gospel singer Diana Hamilton’s songs are top hits. Her song “Mo Ne Yo” was one of many that quickly became popular online.

Diana Hamilton claims that she takes her time when recording songs because she wants them to sound professional.

Although she receives inspiration for songs, the one-time VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’ winner admitted that she is a perfectionist, which accounts for the lengthy delay in the song’s release.

Diana Hamilton revealed that the song “Mo Ne Yo” required more time than she anticipated owing to its arrangement and writing during an appearance on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.

“‘Mo Ne Yo’ took me years to write. It took me about two years to write it.  I know where I started and when I went into the studio with it. It’s either I have the message and I don’t want to be in the studio without knowing what to do,” she told Andy Dosty.

“Sometimes I get the melody before the message, and that is even hard. I am struggling with one now. I don’t like that, I like to get the message first before the melody, and it makes sense.

“I worked with Kwame Yeboah, and he told me I have to tell a story and I have to tell it well to resonate with people. I always want the songs to be based on the word of God. It’s a long process,” she explained.
