The self-proclaimed Dancehall King of Ghana, Shatta Wale, also known as Charles Armah Mensah, has urged Ghanaians to rally behind former President John Dramani Mahama, stressing the importance of strong leadership during the nation’s ongoing difficulties.
In a widely circulated video, Shatta Wale expressed his worries about the political environment and how false information and propaganda had affected Mahama’s chances of winning again.
The musician believes that the unrest in different areas of Ghana requires Mahama to reclaim the presidency.
He noted, “With the current situation, we need someone like Mahama who understands the plight of the people.”
Shatta Wale’s comments suggest a strong belief in Mahama’s ability to bring back stability and growth to the country.
He also showed apathy towards how his remarks could be perceived, whether as backing certain political candidates or just stating his views.
He clarified that his main concern is the well-being of the nation and its citizens. Shatta Wale commended both Mahama and his brother, Ibrahim, for their sincere interest in the development of the nation, especially their advocacy for the creative arts industry while Mahama was in office, underscoring Mahama’s past accomplishments.
Shatta Wale’s support for Mahama reflects the views of many who feel that seasoned leadership is essential right now.
