Police investigate motive as disturbing video of late-night shooting circulates online

A young Ghanaian woman has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a taxi driver at the Tetegu overhead in Accra late on January 19, after a video showing the aftermath of the incident surfaced on social media.
The widely shared footage captures the lifeless body of the taxi driver slumped inside his vehicle, with blood visible at the scene, as shocked onlookers gather nearby. In the same video, police officers are seen escorting the female suspect away from the area.
According to information accompanying the video, the shooting occurred at about 11:16 p.m. However, the circumstances that led to the incident remain unclear.
As at the time of reporting, authorities have not disclosed the motive behind the shooting or whether there was any prior relationship between the suspect and the deceased driver. It is also not yet known whether the incident was premeditated or arose from an altercation.
