YAW DABO SUES OBOY SIKI FOR DEFAMATION

Actor files legal action over ‘insulting’ remarks made during interview

Ghanaian actor and football academy owner, Samuel Nana Yaw Dabo, popularly known as Yaw Dabo, has filed a defamation lawsuit against fellow actor Oboy Siki over what he describes as damaging and false public statements.

The legal action stems from a recent football match held in Yaw Dabo’s hometown, where both actors were in attendance alongside other celebrities. Tensions reportedly flared between the two during the event over money-related disagreements.

After the match, Oboy Siki granted an interview to GhPage during which he allegedly made a series of derogatory remarks against Yaw Dabo. Among other claims, Oboy Siki is reported to have stated that Yaw Dabo is “incapable of impregnating a woman,” is “selfish,” and “not man enough to get married.”

The comments quickly spread across social media platforms, attracting widespread public attention and backlash. According to sources close to the actor, Yaw Dabo was “deeply disappointed” and considered the remarks not only offensive but damaging to his reputation.

In response, his management team has initiated legal proceedings, filing a defamation suit against Oboy Siki. A formal legal letter confirming the suit has since been released by Yaw Dabo’s camp.

The case is expected to proceed in court as both parties prepare to face off over the controversial statements. Yaw Dabo, who also runs a successful football academy and recently flew two of his players to France for trials, has not publicly commented further on the matter.
