Ghanaian actor, media personality, entertainer, and communications specialist George Quaye
has remarked that Twi is an easily identifiable language for everybody in Ghana, no matter where they are.
Quaye asserted that regardless of a person’s cultural origin, Twi is widely spoken throughout Ghana.
Speaking Twi, he said, guarantees unambiguous communication and prevents misunderstandings.
Quaye made it clear during his interview on Hitz FM that he wasn’t criticizing other languages but rather emphasizing the fact that the majority of Ghanaians speak Twi.
He stated firmly, “Twi is a widely spoken language; it’s a fact that can’t be argued. No matter how unfamiliar you may feel, Twi remains a commonly spoken language, and this is not to disregard other languages.”
