Gospel artist Cwesi Oteng spoke about the difficulties he encountered when he started in the gospel music scene.
He faced spiritual attacks and resistance from various people.
In an interview on JoyPrime, Cwesi explained that his innovative style and new approach made many people feel uneasy.
This reaction came from both the music industry and the church community.
“Church people were attacking and saying all sorts of things. Gospel musicians also felt like the new guy had come to change the scene,” he said.
Despite facing a lot of criticism, Cwesi was determined and stayed true to his mission.
“You also want to live long, so when you realize that, you want to re-energize yourself,” he added. “Stardom is my thing, but I can leave the scene, take care of myself for a year, and then come back.”
