‘YOUR DEFAMATION SUIT AGAINST ME WILL GO NOWHERE!’ – Afia Schwarzenegger Replies Sammy Gyamfi

Ghanaian socialite and media personality, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, popularly known as Afia Schwarzenegger, has responded defiantly to a GH¢10 million defamation suit filed against her by Sammy Gyamfi, CEO of the Ghana Gold Board (GOLDBOD).

In a video posted on social media on July 23, 2025, Afia Schwarzenegger downplayed the seriousness of the lawsuit, likening it to a previous case involving social commentator Kevin Taylor. “Have you seen how Kevin Taylor’s case went? That is the same way our case will go. Kevin Taylor has insulted Otumfuo, the Chief Imam, yet he walks free,” she stated.

Afia Schwarzenegger further declared her unwillingness to pay any damages should the court rule in Gyamfi’s favour. “Sammy Gyamfi, go to hell. Go and receive a defunct judgment. You have won the case. Moreover, I don’t have a pesewa in Ghana for you to take if you win the case. I don’t have any property in Ghana,” she added.

Sammy Gyamfi filed the suit against Schwarzenegger over allegations she made, accusing him of infidelity, engaging in extra-marital affairs, and purchasing vehicles for female students at the University of Ghana. In the lawsuit, Gyamfi is seeking a restraining order to prevent Schwarzenegger from making further public statements about him, a public apology to be published both on her social media and in a national newspaper, as well as GH¢10 million in damages.
