Ghanaian boxer, Freezy Macbones publicly professed his admiration for media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso, also known as Delay, during an interview on the Delay show.
Grinning broadly, the Ghanaian boxer disclosed that he had been eagerly awaiting the chance to speak with the prominent Ghanaian personality.
The UK-based Ghanaian boxer’s appearance on “The Delay Show” took an unexpected twist when the host (Delay) subtly hinted at his age, playfully suggesting that dating him might turn her into his sugar mummy.
Delay said, “You’re 30. If I date you, I become your sugar mummy, I’m just saying.”
When asked if losing to opponents younger than him had anything to do with the fact that he was thirty years old at the time, Freezy shot back that it didn’t.
He said: “In my amateur days, it was simple: knock my opponent out, or I lose. That’s the essence of my unique style. I experienced a tough stretch, losing five consecutive fights out of eighteen. Despite the setbacks, I emerged victorious in fourteen or thirteen of them. If I had given up, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Every loss was accompanied by tears because I knew, back in the gym, I trained harder than anyone else.”
Seizing the moment to express his admiration once again, Macbones asked Delay if she had any concerns about their age difference. Playfully, Delay responded, “About what?” to which Macbones clarified, “About being older than me,” leading to shared laughter between them.
Earlier in the interview, Macbones had openly declared his desire to marry Delay, expressing his amazement at being on the show and sharing the conversations he had with others about his intentions. He had stated that meeting Delay was part of God’s plan and that he had consistently informed others, including Sister Denta, that he would marry no one but Delay.
“I can’t believe I’m seated right in front of you,” exclaimed Macbones before he disclosed the communications he has had with people about marrying her. “You can ask Sister Denta; I’ve always told her that I won’t marry anyone except you. Meeting you is all part of God’s plan.”
