YOU’RE TAKING IMF LOAN YET CALLING ON AFRICANS LEADERS TO STOP BEGGING – Ex-Nigerian, Senator ‘Pokes’ President Akufo-Addo

Shehu Sani, an ex-senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has criticized President Nana Addo for urging African leaders to cease pleading for aid.

Ghanaians and other nationals have criticized President Nana Addo for his most recent remarks to African leaders.

Following his comment, he has been called a hypocrite by numerous individuals.

A few hours after the IMF gave Ghana a $3 billion loan, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo urged African leaders to stop crying for help and start investing their money in the continent. He asserted that this is what will elevate the continent’s standing.

“If we stop being beggars and spend African money inside the continent, Africa will not need to ask for respect from anyone,” he charged fellow leaders.

We will get the respect we deserve. If we make it prosperous as it should be, respect will follow.”

“Africans are more resilient outside the continent than inside. We must bear in mind that to the outside world, [there’s] nothing like Nigeria, Ghana or Kenya, we are simply Africans. Our destiny as people depends on each other.”

It appears that former Nigerian senator Shehu Sani was not pleased with the president Nana Addo’s remark.

He took to his Twitter and wrote;

“Ghana’s President is collecting IMF loan with the right hand and using the left hand to warn African Governments against begging the west for money,” the tweet read.
