Rapper, film and television producer Curtis James Jackson III, known professionally under his stage name as 50 Cent, has revealed plans to adapt Ramon Abbas – Hushpuppi’s life story into a television series production.
Jackson who is famed for producing hit tv series like Power, Power Book II, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, amongst others, made the announcement on his Instagram page on Wednesday night, writing:
Hushpuppi was recently given an 11 years and three months prison sentence, meaning he will remain behind bars for nine more years after serving two.
Meanwhile, Nigerians who follow 50 Cent have expressed mixed feelings over the development.
Musician and relationship counselor, Atewologun Laolu-Ogunniyi, also known as Skukipeeshaun wrote: “Sigh… I’m having mixed feelings! Nollywood how did we let this slip past us? Damn!”
Also pleading with 50 Cent to allow a Nigerian actor to take on the role was Nollywood actress Uche Jombo.
