President Akufo Addo and his government have pledged to foot the bills of the surgery a Siamese twin will have to undergo to separate them at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
The Chief of Staff at the presidency, Akosua Frema Osei Opare announced on behalf of President Nana Akufo Addo when she paid the conjoined twins and their parents a visit at the hospital today.
The mother, Rebecca Bansah and Samuel Addo, father of the Siamese twins were joined at the head when they were birthed and specialists at the hospital offered to perform the surgical operation to separate them and demanded for 3million Ghana cedis to initiate the procedure.
Media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah who called for financial support from concerned Ghanaian to donate money for the surgery took to her Instagram page to express her appreciation to President Akufo Addo for coming to the aid of the babies and even more taking up the entire cost of the operation.
She wrote;
