Top US. rapper Lil Wayne has promised to support the ex-New Orleans police officer who rescued him while attempting to end his life when he was 12 years old.
The rapper opened up about his mental health challenges as he admitted that he shot himself in the chest which many believed was an accidental shooting but the ex-police officer known as Robert Hoobler rescued him from dying.
The ex-cop who’s identified as Uncle Bob by Lil Wayne revealed that he saw the rapper in NOLA for a radio show in 2019 and he offered to support him (Bob) with any financial support if he ever needed it.
He noted that he hasn’t taken up Lil Wayne’s generous offer but has been talking about joining Weezy’s team for some administrative duty but it’s yet to be determined.
Lil Wayne even recorded a track dubbed, “London Roads” in which he even hinted about Uncle Bob saving him and added that he had died but fortunately he’s alive saying he has gotten in touch with the rapper that the death rumors are lies.
