Some Kumawood celebrities urged renowned actor Agya Koo to use his influence in the film business and capitalize on Ghanaians’ affection and love for him to revitalize the film industry at the burial site of Osei Tutu.
Speaking on behalf of the Kumawood stars, Oboy Siki recognized Agya Koo’s contributions to the Ghanaian film business, his involvement in the development of other movie stars that came after him, and he begged Agya Koo to actively assist in reviving the film industry.
The creation of YouTube videos is the future route for the film industry, according to Oboy Siki.
In order to get Ghanaians to start buying their movies, he urged the actors and producers who worked with him to cast Agya Koo in their productions.
“Now, YouTube is the way forward. If you produce the normal part 1 and part 2 movies, who is going to buy them? But now, YouTube is selling. So, the best thing for us to do is to bring onboard the King Kong of the Ghana movie industry and ensure that the Ghana movie industry is resurrected on YouTube through him,” he said.
