MUSICIAN NII FUNNY APOLOGIZES FOR SAYING GA WOMEN LIKE BEGGING FOR MONEY

After recently inciting uproar among the Ga community on the internet by asserting that Ga women enjoy begging for money a lot in a relationship, Nii Funny has issued an apology.

He didn’t stop there; he also claimed that Ga women enjoy attending funerals even if the deceased was not in any way linked to them.

The musician, a Ga by birth, made this statement in response to a question from Halifax on Okay FM on why he left native women behind to wed an American.

“They don’t like me. They fear me. They think I will not take them anywhere. One thing I don’t like about the Ga women is that they like begging

Any little thing, they want to do this and that. They can ask you for 1000 cedis and 2000 cedis to buy cloth.

And if you ask them what they need cloth for, they will tell you their brother’s father’s brother’s friend’s little brother’s brother’s son has got a funeral. It’s too much.”

He later expressed regret for his comments, which angered a number of his followers on social media.

According to the singer of the hit song “Gbogbo,” news reports of his interview misinterpreted his comments as an attack on all Ga women.
