Entertainment analyst, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has defended the sponsor of the Ghana Music Awards-United Kingdom (GMA-UK), Taabea, against criticism for investing in the award scheme.
He argued that it’s unreasonable to lambaste Taabea for supporting the GMA-UK and promoting Ghanaian music on the international stage.
According to Asamoah-Baidoo, Taabea should be commended for his dedication to financing the award scheme, especially given concerns that it wouldn’t last.
This statement comes in response to social media criticism of Taabea following the controversy between Shatta Wale and Kwasi Aboagye regarding the payments made to artists who performed at this year’s GMA-UK event.
