POOR COMMUNICATION A WORRY FOR AKUFO-ADDO’S GOV’T – Socrate Safo

Ghanaian director, filmmaker, and Director for Creative Arts at the National Commission on Culture (NCC) in Ghana, Socrate Sarfo holds the opinion that it’s essential for the government’s accomplishments to be effectively communicated.

He believes that insufficient effort has been made to convey the achievements of the current government, particularly in the arts sector.

Sarfo is concerned about the way information is managed by the current administration and thinks that it contributes to the perception that it is a government with limited accomplishments.

He shared these thoughts during an interview on OKAY FM, emphasizing the importance of more transparent and robust communication of the government’s achievements.

“We need to trumpet the government’s achievements. If our achievements, even in the arts sector, were trumpeted enough, no one would have had anything bad to say about this government.

But if you wait until something happens before you release information, it becomes very worrying. You should bear in mind that there is someone out there who is always telling the world that you have done nothing, so it is for you to be proactive enough to ensure that you put information out there.
