MOROCCAN REFEREE, REDOUANE JIYED TAKES CHARGE OF GHANA VS NIGERIA WORLD CUP PLAYOFF

Ghana against Nigeria: Redouane Jiyed takes command of 2022 World Cup playoff first leg in Kumasi.

The opening leg of Ghana against Nigeria’s 2022 World Cup play-off will be handled by Moroccan referee Redouane Jiyed.

Moroccan match officials will manage the match between bitter rivals to decide who qualifies for the tournament in Qatar.

The Black Stars will face the Super Eagles today, March 25, 2022, in Kumasi before returning to Abuja four days later.

Jiyed led Ghana to a 1-0 victory against Ethiopia in September’s World Cup qualifiers at the same stadium.

At the AFCON 2021 in Yaounde, he officiated the 3rd place play-off between Burkina Faso and Cameroon.
