Legendary Ghanaian musician, Rocky Dawuni has spoken out about how he feels inspired to be called “a two-time Grammy-nominated” artiste.
He made this clear in an interview with award-winning blogger Ameyaw Debrah, who published it on her blog.
In a recent interview, Ameya Debrah asked him to express his sentiments when people refer to him as a Grammy-nominated singer. In an interview, Rocky Dawuni admitted that the phrase was a mouthful for him.
However, he explained that as a musician who works hard and is always looking for people to embrace his music, and who has a global platform with a diverse group of people, achieving a high level of excellence in your work allows you to feel inspired, validated and to enjoy the moment.
Rocky Dawuni was recognized one of the most outstanding Global Albums of the year by The Grammy Awards, which will be held in Los Angeles in 2022. As a result of his 2020 EP, the Voice Of BunBon, Volume 1, Rocky Dawuni has been nominated for this coveted prize in the music industry.
This is the reggae artist’s second Grammy nomination, after his first, which was for the album Branches Of The Same Tree, which was received in 2015.
