A member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council, Samuel Anim Addo, has asked for forgiveness for the Black Stars as they prepare to host their counterparts from Nigeria in the FIFA World Cup playoff.
The much-anticipated first leg of the World Cup playoff between the two countries will come off at the Baba Yara Sports stadium and the Anim Addo who has been instrumental in communicating to the public about issues concerning the Black stars has asked Ghanaians to rally behind the team in their crucial World Cup Qualifier against Nigeria.
The Black Stars in the past has not been their best and this caused a lot of Ghanaians to withdraw their love and support for them which made the GFA coin the slogan “Bring Back The Love” in the hope to convince Ghanaians to bring back the love they had fr the team that excelled in friendly matches and competitions.
In a panel discussion on Kumasi’s Oyerepa Sports, Anim Addo knelt and pleaded for forgiveness for the senior national team.
“Ghanaians we beg. We need you. Things we have done and things we have said that hasn’t helped the Black Stars; we beg you please ignore them and support the team to beat Nigeria”, he said.
